Privacy and cookie policy

This notice explains how personal data collected through this website is processed, in accordance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 as amended.

1. Data controller

2. Data we collect

• Contact form: first name, surname, email address and message; optionally phone number, country and company.
• Newsletter: email address.
• Browsing data: technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, recorded in the server logs.

3. Purposes and legal basis

• Replying to requests sent through the contact form and sending you a copy of your request: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Providing the required data is necessary to reply.
• Sending the newsletter: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time using the link in every newsletter email.
• Website security and prevention of abuse (server logs, anti-spam checks): our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Retention

• Contact requests: for the time needed to handle the request and any resulting business relationship.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
• Server logs: for the time needed for security purposes, unless required to investigate an incident.

5. Recipients

Data is processed by authorised staff of Scelgo S.p.A. and by providers acting as data processors (website hosting and email services). Data is not disclosed to third parties for their own marketing purposes. The page style sheet is loaded from the jsDelivr content delivery network, which receives the IP address of visitors.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, restriction of processing, data portability, and object to processing (Articles 15–22 GDPR), by writing to scelgo@scelgospa.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).

7. Cookies

This website only uses technical cookies, which do not require consent:

• a session cookie (scelgointernational_session), needed for the contact and newsletter forms to work;
• XSRF-TOKEN, which protects forms against cross-site request forgery.

Both expire 120 minutes after your last visit to the website. No profiling or analytics cookies are used. You can delete cookies at any time from your browser settings.
